Shoes for Peace and Cohesion Project

The Shoes for Peace and Cohesion Project support 18,648 children in Primary and Secondary schools in Isiolo, Samburu, Marsabit and Mandera Counties, Kenya.

Soles4Souls, a US-based NGO, donated the shoes. With the support of Marsabit Ccounty, Mandera County and Liibaan Bus Service, GENCAD launched this project in Sereoilipi Village Samburu County on the 7th December 2020.

This event was attended by Cabinet Secretary for Devolution Hon Eugene Wamalwa, the governors of Marsabit and Mandera Counties and other leaders.

We plan to make this a yearly event that will focus on peace and cohesion among the pastoralist communities in Northern Kenya and will draw in more northern counties.
