Key interventions Activities-Nutrition- By SCI:
- Conduct one -off mass screenings to indentify children under five and prognant and lactating women with malnutrition.
- Treatment of children and pregnant and lactating women with Severe and Moderate Acute Malnutrition through low-cost integrated health, nutrition outreaches in malnutrition hotspots
- Promote optimal Maternal, Infant, and Young Child Nutrition in Emergency (MIYCN-E) practices and child protection messages targeting children under five years through the community Health Promoters
- Integrate nutrition education with cash programming
- Procure and distribute 1000 cartons RUFT and 1200 cartons of RUSF
- Distribution of 3100 boxes of PUR.
Key interventions Activities-Food assistance- By GENCAD:
- Cash Assistance beneficiary targeting, registration, verification and validation
- Provide time-bound, emergency, unconditional multipurpose cash (MPC) assistance to 1900 HHs, each receiving KES 7000 per month for 2 months to enable them to meet their most urgent and diverse basic needs.
- Conduct sensitization and contextual Social Behavior Change (SBC) communication on responsible cash utilization, nutrition-sensitive practices, household prioritization of basic needs and prevention of CP risks
- Conduct Post-Distribution Monitoring.
