- Kuza Jamii Project Overview
Overall Goal: To support the transition from cash transfers to more integrated social protection programs
Funding Agency: Government of Kenya with support from the World Bank and FCDO
Kuza Jamii will build on best practices from HSNP 1&2(Hunger safety net program) and KSEIP EIP(Economic Inclusion Program (EIP) under the Government of Kenya Social and Economic Inclusion Project (KSEIP) including:
- Community-based targeting for the extreme poor
- Adopting the Enhanced Single Registry and GoK’s Harmonized Targeting Tool for participant identification and selection of participants under KSEIP EIP Intervention
- Adopting the tools developed in the EIP pilot under KSEIP EIP
- Shock responsive programming
Three key components
- Strengthening Social Protection Delivery Systems
- Increasing Access to Social and Economic Inclusion Interventions
- Improve the Shock Responsiveness of the Safety Net System
Timeframe
12 months (1st April 2024 – 31st March 2025)
