Help us empower more women this International Women's Day.

In honour of International Women’s Day, GlobalGiving is running the Girl Fund Campaign to find and support organisations that are striving to accelerate women’s equality around the world.

From 6th – 13th March, the top 8 nonprofits will be eligible to receive additional funding support from the GlobalGiving Girl Fund across 2020. Help us win one of eight spots to support our programs that are empowering women in Kenya with the entrepreneurship skills, finances and resources to lift their communities.

  • Starts: Friday, March 6, 2020, at 12:00 AM ET (5:00 AM UK time/8:00 AM Kenya time)
  • Finishes: Friday, March 13, 2020, at 23:59:59 ET (4:59 AM UK time/7:59 AM Kenya time).
  • There will be bonus funding available during the first 24-hours of the campaign.

What we are providing

100 women acquire business skills and establish sustainable enterprises

Women are able to use the increased disposable income to support their families

Women feel empowered and gain confidence in their own entrepreneurial capabilities

Increased household income enables children, especially girls, to attend school

Let's create more stories like these

Our Impact

“UK AID is supporting Generation for Change and Development to give woman entrepreneurs in Kenya quality training and support, to help them build or improve their business – and lift them out of poverty... This is crucial work, particularly ahead of the UK-Africa Investment Summit in January, which will create new partnerships to deliver more investment, jobs and growth, benefitting people and businesses in Africa and the UK. The Small Charities Challenge Fund makes it easier for small British charities like this to access UK aid, helping them to improve lives and reduce poverty around the world.”
